When it comes to shoes I do have an opinion. But when it comes to performance or street wear shoes I then have a strong opinion. Part of my background working for Nike and various businesses and projects in the street wear area made my taste in sportswear and street wear very picky and sophisticated. And when it comes to perfection there’s always only one brand to talk about and it’s NIKE.
My favorite shoe so far has always been the Nike Free. Weights literally nothing and you don’t even feel that you’re wearing an actual shoe on your feet. Breathing, cooling materials and incredibly flexible sole. I die for this shoe and just recently got myself a new pair, having in mind that it’s not so easy to find them. You have them in a running and training version, when always in amazing vibrant colors and stylish combinations.
But I actually started this post because of another shoe, result of the collaboration between Japanese style leader Hiroji Fujiwara, Nike designer Tinker Hatfield and Nike CEO (ex boss) Marc Parker.
Weighting only 160gr and part of the sustainably-driven innovations for the upcoming 2012 Olympic Games in London this looks definitely like some hell of a shoe both for running and sportswear.
