One of the key words for Spring Summer ’17 is DECONSTRUCTION. Asymmetric cuts in deconstructed silhouettes with superpositions still continue to be the current mood in fashion.

In fabrics we see a sudden love for shine this season with satin silks and taffetas in bold colours in 70’s inspired looks, while sheer and transparent fabrics create beautiful draperies in pastels and whites. This season there is also a lot ethnic, Celtic and medieval inspiration in rich and heavily embroidered and elaborated fabrics.

Key trends remain draperies and deconstructed ruffles in fitted silhouettes with punk-rock aesthetic in beauty, while thicker engineered innovative fabrics with more body create asymmetric volumes reminiscent here of the 90’s, here of the future, always keeping a minimal air of androgens elegance.

Color block made its return and the art of mixing prints still remains a highly appreciated yet not easy trend and for another season the “messages”, letter prints and graphics on fabrics are still favourite among many of the trend setting designers.

Here’s some of my favorite looks from Spring Summer and Cruise ’17 runways:
